Our Activities
One of our main aims & objectives is community health awareness and providing free primary health services to poor people of rural areas. Besides that, we celebrate foundation day and observe days.
Awareness Programs on AIDS
At the beginning MASS NGO has started a small campaign with their funds in the village of Mayureswar High School, Mayureswar-I for the AIDS Awareness campaign. We have selected a high school in midst of Mayureswar with our organization associated with the student as well as villages parts and identification of four major remedies of AIDS: Mother to Child, Needles, Block Transpiration and Sexual. We have scattered the awareness program through adolescent boys and girls.
Vocational Training Programs
Self-sustainable is an inevitable part of our organization, so every year we disseminate a vocational training program. This program is arranged in our SHG groups with 30 trainees and with their appropriate trades such as embroidery, computer training, beekeeping, and tailoring which have been organized with the help of MSME (Govt. of India).
Educational Program
A model Primary School has been going on at Vadrapur in Naihati block II under Mayureswar Ambedkar Smriti Sangha. In this program, more than 350n children and 10 unemployed youths have been organizing the school beside a Library that has been going on to disseminate the education system of underprivileged youth at Mayureswar in Mayureswar Block II.
Self-Help Groups
Self-help is the best help, so the organization has formed 100 groups with the help of NABARD (National Agricultural Bank for Rural Development). We have been nurturing the groups for their capacity building and especially arrange the training for their inter transaction of money with interest among them. As a result, they can easily understand the Micro Credit System.
Health Programs (Sanitation)
More than 6000 sanitation programs have been established with the help of Birbhum Zilla Parishad. This program is jointly organized by the Mayureswar Ambedkar Smriti Sangha and Birbhum Zilla Parishad in Mayureswar Block II and Block I for Swaccha Bharat Mission.
Training Cum Production
Our organization always believes in the self-sustainable model, as a result, various training programs have been organized mainly for underprivileged women. The training segments are Handcraft Training, Jute Work, Kantha Stitch, Garment, Chemical, Poultry, Goat, Agriculture, Pisciculture, etc.. We also arranged a successful Solar Pith Program with the help of MSME (Govt. of India).
Women & Child Development
An awareness program is organized aiming to make aware the poor and distressed women about their health needs and nutrition. This particular program is for women and children focusing on their health which will be very useful in the villages where healthcare is a costly matter. The program is held every month and women members attend the meetings with keen interest; they understand the need for proper healthcare facilities. In this program, renowned doctors take part as volunteers who make women aware about the health issues they face every time.
Seminar & Workshops
For awareness of the community in their need and utility preface which can change the entire circle of the community’s lifestyle and livelihood. In this context, our organization arranges different types of seminars and workshops such as Environment Awareness, National Integration, Horticulture, N.R.G.A awareness camp, and child labor, etc. We organize more than 40 consumer awareness programs in different places including schools, colleges, and panchayats. Besides that, we also conducted a consumer awareness program in front of shops, railway stations, bus terminals, etc. We organized skill consumer awareness programs and participated in different rallies, seminars, and fairs in the consumer Day Program.
